WELCOME!

It is an honor for me that you have visited my site. This would introduce to you my self-written essays on the different ways of writing an essay. The site includes reflective, static-descriptive, comparison and contrast, cause and effect, definition, argumentative and reflective essay 2. This is part of our requirement in our writing activity outputs made in our ENGLCOM course in our tertiary eduation. I hope that this, be a help to you.

Writing for me is a written form of thoughts that circulates in our minds on a particular subject. It could make a person's mood, for some use this way to throw their emotions. Writing is also a self-exression because some could only express theirselves through writing and it enables one to open up and say what they want to say without anyone getting affected.

These writing activities helped me enchance my English language skills since this requires reading of references which lets me read a lot. Also, through wide reading, my reading comprehension is exercised as well as my vocabulary because I often encounter unfamiliar terms that makes me search for the meaning of it.

Cause and Effect Essay: Cigarette Smoking is Dangerous to our Health

All of us encounter problems in life but we have our unique ways on dealing with them.  Cigarette smoking is one of the ways wherein others think that it would relieve stress due to problems.; this is what we call casual smoking. On the other hand, habitual smoking which health experts treat as a psychological addiction would trigger more serious health complications (Martin, 2004). Cigarette smoking has other harmful effects on nature for these cigarettes are composed of toxic chemicals. A cigarette contains a lot of toxic ingredients which travels throughout the body, resulting in damage in many ways. It is composed of approximately 4000 chemicals on it, hundreds of which are toxic. Others may smoke to relieve stress that they become unmindful of its components and its harmful effects to the environment and on their body that may lead to death in many cases (Martin, 2008).

Smoking also affects the environment. Cigarette smoking causes air pollution since when a cigarette is burned, smoke together with its chemicals are produced. Cigarette butts and cigarette filters make drainages and streams get clogged. In addition, those cigarette butts still contain chemicals, so, groundwater may be contaminated with it. A lot of people who smoke throw cigarette butts anywhere which is a form of littering. Worst thing that could happen is the careless throwing of cigar butts with a fire still on it that it would start a fire in a place, causing air pollution and damage to the area (Cooper, 2010)

People who smoke would be having a noticeably different physical appearance than that of a non-smoking person. Common problems of smokers are the development of stain on their teeth and bad breath which would greatly affect one's social life for one would be conscious on it while socializing. Aging would be faster on smoker; hair loss and rapid skin aging. Smokers would feel a lot older than what they are.

Smoking kills! This is what  experts say with their proven studies on this. It may not be directly smoking as its main cause, but the worsening of the effects that cigarette smoking gives as continued habitual smoking is done. Increased heart rate and blood pressure is felt due to the mixture of nicotine and carbon monoxide that enters a body when smoking. Cancer may also develop and lung complications like emphysema, an illness that slowly rots the lungs. Bronchitis may also occur. Lung cance is the common cancer sickness that might develop on a smoker (Johnson, 2010).

Cigarette smoking indeed is a deadly habit. Stress may be relieved for some but more problems on complication on the health would follow. This would not solve one's problem but will worsen it. We should be mindful of its components for life is important. We should learn to think a lot and analyze before engaging to this kind of thing because this would not only affect you but also the people around you.
